9/11 commemorations
William Kennard, the US ambassador to the EU, started commemorations today by ringing the bell at the Brussels stock exchange.
On Sunday (11 September), Anders Fogh Rasmussen will preside over a special ceremony at NATO headquarters to honour the victims of terrorism.
On Monday, MEPs are expected to hold a moment of silence at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. They will also commemorate July's attacks in Norway.
