Anastasiades the frontrunner in race for Cypriot presidency

Centre-right candidate gets 46% and will face independent candidate in second round.

The presidential election in Cyprus will go to a second round next Sunday (24 February) after Nicos Anastasiades, the centre-right candidate, yesterday failed to secure an outright majority in the race to succeed Demetris Christofias.
