Barroso orders security sweep after allegations of US spying

“Disturbing news” about US infiltration of EU premises and networks prompt counter-measures from European Commission.

José Manuel Barroso, the president of the European Commission, has ordered a security sweep of Commission offices in the wake of allegations that US intelligence spied on European Union facilities in the US and in Brussels.
