Deal reached on bank legislation

Ten months of negotiation ends with cap on bankers' bonuses agreed.

The European Parliament and European Council last night (27 February) reached an agreement on legislation on tougher rules for banks.

Just before midnight the two sides said that they had found a compromise on the capital requirements directive and legislation (CRD IV) after ten months of talks.
