EU-US bank data deal to enter into force

MEPs fail to delay the entry into force of data-sharing deal between the EU and the US.

An agreement between the European Union and the United States on the sharing of bank transfer data is to enter into force on Monday (1 February), despite a request by the European Parliament to delay its application.
