On Wednesday 25 February 2009, Comment:Visions invited decision-makers and stakeholders to discuss how to put carbon capture and storage (CCS) into motion. The debate took place in the European Parliament.

The panel :

  • Mr Chris Davies MEP, European Parliament rapporteur on CCS 
  • Pr Dr Vicente Cortes, Director of the CO2 Capture Programme at the Spanish government foundation 'Ciudad de la Energía' (CIUDEN)
  • Mr Piotr Tulej, Head of unit, energy and environment, DG Environment, European Commission
  • Dr Stephan Singer, director, global energy policy, WWF European Policy Office
  • Dr Pietro Barbucci, head of fossil fuels research and development policies, ENEL
