16 - 17 February: Committee of the Regions plenary session

FORMER Belgian Minister Jos Chabert was elected president of the Committee of the Regions (CoR) for the next two years at the institution's two-day plenary session in Brussels. Chabert, who has been vice-president of the Brussels-Capital government since 1989 and is currently minister for public works and transport, has taken over the presidency from Manfred Dammeyer, who has become first vice-president.
