Progressive alignment of roles

There will not be an automatic alignment from the regulatory procedure with scrutiny (RPS) to delegated acts. Instead, the alignment will happen on a case-by-case basis when each basic act is subject to legislative revision.
This means that the RPS will continue to exist as a procedure, with committees, until it has been removed by legislative revision. The European Commission will ensure that there is no more RPS by the end of 2014.

Automatic alignment of roles

The implementing acts regulation will come into force on 1 March. It will automatically replace the management and regulatory procedures by the examination procedure. The advisory procedure is maintained.
