Citizens demand more from east European politics

The gloomy story of east European politics goes like this. Politicians are out of touch and voters do not care; outside pressure can be safely ignored; reform stalls or goes backwards. That certainly has seemed the case in many new member states of the European Union, and in countries queuing to join. It looks like the story of Georgia now.
