1992-95: Economist in the macroeconomic policy and growth division, Insée

1995-97: Economist in the French treasury's foreign-exchange policy and balance of payments unit

1997-2002: Economic adviser to the director of the treasury

1999-2001: Head of the treasury's foreign- exchange and economic-policy unit

2002-07: Deputy chief executive, then CEO of Agence France Trésor

2007-90: Head of treasury's multilateral affairs and development, co-chair of the Paris Club, G7 finance sous- sherpa

2009-11: Deputy director-general of the French treasury

2012-: Member of the ECB's executive board
