ESA promises change in the weather

Telecommunications is another area of cooperation between ESA and Eurocontrol. Currently, pilots receive information about weather conditions and landing details by radio message from controllers on the ground. The new system would allow pilots to get this information directly on their cockpit's computers, says Eurocontrol director Gerhard Stadler.
