Europe should look north to stop smoking

One smoker in two dies from the habit. Although smoking is in gradual decline there are still almost 700,000 smoking-related deaths every year in the EU, with smokers living lives which are ten to 25 years shorter than they would otherwise be. The much-ignored warning on cigarette packets, that smoking kills, is quite true.
