G8 must deliver on promise to eradicate polio

THE headlines recently have highlighted a series of tragedies for African countries – both immediate and to come. But as the drought rages on in parts of Africa, Nigeria clears up the aftermath of the latest riots, and the peace process in the Democratic Republic of Congo proceeds at a snail's pace, an African success story is quietly and resolutely emerging. And we are committed, and obliged to see it through.
