Simon Taylor asks what comes next for energy markets after ministers strike a politically charged deal on liberalisation

EU energy ministers reached a compromise deal on 6 June that will encourage greater competition in the EU's energy market. But the agreement falls significantly short of the full ownership-unbundling sought by the UK, the Netherlands and some Scandinavian countries.
