Malta's feeling the benefit

Playmobil to increase its investment in its Maltese factory.
Never let it be said that southern Europe does not feel the benefits of Germany's economic strength. Here is a heartening example of trickle-down economics helping southern Europe: the German toymaker Playmobil has announced that it will increase its investment in its factory in Malta by €4 million, taking total investment for 2013 to €15m. Any accusations that Angela Merkel's Germany is simply toying with the eurozone periphery are clearly groundless.
