MEPs want increased powers before Lisbon treaty enters into force

Parliament seeks to strike ‘gentleman's agreement' with the Council

The European Parliament is to list the upcoming legislation in the area of justice and home affairs where it wants increased powers even before the entry into force of the Lisbon treaty.
