Pinning down profile of perfect post-Prodi president

AS JEAN-Claude Juncker, prime minister of Luxembourg, travelled across Europe this week, he had to answer, in each place he visited, the question of whether he is a candidate for the presidency of the European Commission. He said he is not. And the truth is, there are no candidates to succeed Romano Prodi yet. This is because the job description must still be defined, before the name-game starts.
