Poor response to Prodi's bid to lead by example

Incoming Commission President Romano Prodi's insistence that members of his team must appoint a chef de cabinet or deputy chef of a different nationality has been taken hard by some of the new intake. Others accept it as one of the prices that must be paid for being European.
