Revolting peasants leave bad smell after euro referendum

ESTONIA'S resounding ‘Yes' to EU membership notwithstanding, it was not a good week for Europe, news-wise or otherwise. From the Swedish ‘No' to euro membership, to the tragic death of Anna Lindh, to the EU's role in the collapse of free-trade talks in Cancún, there was not much to cheer.
