Set in their ways

28.06.2012 / 02:59 CET
Too much concrete.

The European Commission is committing crimes against the English language while setting itself ever more firmly in all-pervasive concrete. A document issued by the Commission this week (27 June) was described as “a communication from the Commission to the Council on concrete ways to improve the fight against tax fraud and tax evasion”.

Entre Nous accepts that there have long been concrete ways to evade tax: they were the motorways to Luxembourg. But it would dearly like the Commission to improve the fight against all those concrete steps and concrete ways.
