ITALIAN aid designed to bring undeclared workers back into the official labour force has been given the go-ahead by the Commission. The Italian government plans to encourage firms in the regions of Sicily, Sardinia, Calabria, Basilicata, Puglia and Campania to use special 'realignment contracts', which will provide an incentive for workers to become 'official' by allowing reductions in social security contributions and taxes.
