Surviving summits needs a little punditry and wizardry

Finding the real story at summits is an art – but it can be learnt. Flattery and cynicism may come in more useful than faithful attention to spin doctors.

A big international conference, such as last week's NATO summit in Bucharest, can seem a bewildering place. So here are some tips on how to crack it.
