Vatican set to endorse heavy petting

When historians come to assess the legacy of the Prodi Commission, surely the introduction of the pet passport will rank up there as one of its major achievements. The passports will be obligatory from tomorrow (1 October) for anyone wishing to travel to another EU state with their cat, dog or ferret.
