Ireland pushes for deals on financial regulations

Agreement on bank capital rules ‘very close'.

Officials from Ireland, which took over the presidency of the European Union’s Council of Ministers on 1 January, have signalled that they want to provide fresh impetus to negotiations on outstanding pieces of financial services draft legislation.
