Markets and climate top the summit agenda

Next week’s spring summit could also see attempts by Nicolas Sarkozy and Angela Merkel to relaunch a Franco-German alliance.

EU leaders will focus on the state of financial markets and measures to tackle climate change when they meet for their quarterly summit in Brussels next week (13-14 March).
