MEPs increase own office allowances

The European Parliament gets more jobs and money as the Council of Ministers backs down.

Members of the European Parliament yesterday (19 May) voted to increase their office allowances by €1,500 a month and approved the addition of 150 extra posts to the Parliament’s payroll.
