S&D to vote ‘No’ on Borg

Centre-left group in the Parliament decides to oppose nomination ahead of vote today.

Members of the centre-left S&D group of Socialists in the European Parliament voted last night (20 November) in a group meeting to oppose the nomination of Tonio Borg for EU health commissioner because of his conservative views on social issues such as abortion and gay rights.
