Money laundering is an international phenomenon, and Cyprus’s efforts to limit it compare favourably

Cyprus’s financial problems stem, by and large, from its banking sector’s exposure to the Greek financial crisis, as well as to the banks’ contribution to the private-sector involvement (PSI), otherwise known as the Greek sovereign-debt haircut.
