Russian criticism of the United States’s human-rights record reveals a great deal about flaws in both countries

Criticism can reveal more about its source than its target. The Russian foreign ministry’s new report on human rights in the United States deserves close reading, less for the abuses it highlights (or more often exaggerates) than for the mindset it reflects.
