The failure of the Doha talks underscores the importance of moving to a waste-free, efficient industrial system.

The climate conference in Doha ended in disappointment, and – although the Kyoto Protocol remains in place – it will now be 2020 at the earliest before there is any chance of a new, more comprehensive worldwide agreement being implemented. That is far too late and will make it almost impossible to limit global warming to 2°C, which scientists say is of the utmost importance if we are to maintain the stability of the planet and ensure our own future safety and well-being.
