Cefic, the European Chemical Industry Council, is both the forum and voice of the European chemical industry. It aims to maintain and develop a prosperous chemical industry in Europe by promoting the best possible economic, social and environmental conditions to bring benefits to society.
Cefic is located in Auderghem and employs more than 160 people.
To strengthen one of its departments, Cefic is actively looking for a (M/F):
Assistant Advocacy Fine, Specialty & Consumer Chemicals
Responsibilities
Communicating and/or coordinating information with various departments
Monitoring EU institutions websites & newsletters (e.g. Commission, Parliament, Council,...)
Maintaining various databases, gathering and analysing data
Invoicing members, accounting of specific budgets and financial follow-ups
Scheduling appointments and arranging meetings, conferences and travel
Drafting correspondence and preparing complex documents
Writing minutes of meetings and organising flow of work
Performing a wide range of administrative tasks and general support to senior-level team
Background and experience
Minimum bachelor's degree in Office Management
Previous working experience within associations
Knowledge of European institutions is an important asset
Skills & competencies
Very good knowledge of MS-Office tools (Powerpoint, Excel) is a must
Excellent level of English, written and spoken. Knowledge of other languages is an asset
Being accurate and passion for conscientious work
Being proactive and ability for multitasking
Flexible person with excellent planning, organisational & communication skills
Team-player and ability to work independently is a must
Curious, fast learning and ability to think ahead
