We will win the European elections, says Grillo

5-Star leader insists his party will be the largest Italian bloc in the next European Parliament, despite changes to voting rules being pushed through in Italy.

Beppe Grillo, the comedian who led his newly-formed 5-Star Movement to a political victory in last year’s Italian general election, yesterday (23 January) attacked a deal reached between Italy’s main centre-left and centre-right blocs to reform the voting system. He said the changes will not stop his party from winning the European Parliament elections in May.
