Environment Quarterly: Green Week

Picture 1

29 May 2008

Initially a forum to engage with citizens, the 8th Green Week is now a regular policy event. This European Voice special report is made available online for all visitors thanks to PV Cycle.

PV Cycle

The photovoltaic industry offers Europe a “double green” source of energy. It has a permanent, natural, completely sustainable energy source – the Sun – combined with a voluntary guaranteed full recycling and waste management programme.

PV Cycle, the photovoltaic industry association promoting the protection of climate and the environment, aims to encourage the increased use and increased sustainability of photovoltaic technology.

PV Cycle is therefore committed to implementing a voluntary ‘take-back' programme for the industry to guarantee the highest possible collection and recovery rates, as well as appropriate treatment throughout the entire life-cycle of photovoltaic modules.

If you wish to know more about PV Cycle, please contact Jan Clyncke, its Managing Director, at jan.clyncke@pvcycle.org or visit our website at www.pvcycle.org
