RETREAT Airbus and its parent company EADS have decided to withdraw from a $40 billion (€29bn) tender to supply refuelling aircraft to the United States Air Force. They claimed that late revisions to the terms of the contest were skewed in favour of Boeing's contender (a modified 767), and against the modified Airbus A330 (pictured).
